Role Summary

The Information Security Analyst Co-op will work closely with Dyne's IT Team to ensure the protection of confidential and sensitive information. You will continue to implement and mature Dyne’s information security program, assessing the highest risks, and implement mitigation strategies. You will implement and operate security tools and provide first level incident response. You will work closely with all levels of employees, helping to assist and educate them to help keep Dyne’s data assets safe. This role is based in Waltham, MA without the possibility of being a remote role. This role will be for a 6 month period beginning in January 2023.

Key Responsibilities of the Role:

  • Operational support for information security tool alerts, triaging, and maintenance  
  • Execute on information security activities such as vulnerability management, data loss prevention, disaster recovery planning, risk management, etc. 
  • Perform first level incidence response and computer forensics activities  
  • Assess security controls and evaluate security posture of organizational internal controls 
  • Implement security policies and standard operating procedures  
  • Evaluate third party relationships for compliance to organization security standards  
  • Collaborate with IT department and business colleagues to implement department systems and processes as an SME  
  • Research security trends, new methods, and techniques used in order to preemptively eliminate the possibility of system breach 

 

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Currently enrolled in a 4-year accredited college or university, or master's program, studying Technology, Information Security or Systems, Engineering, Business, Computer Science, or similar
  • Strong understanding of information security concepts with the ability to research technical challenges and learn quickly to provide security guidance
  • Ability to solve problems creatively and independently with attention to details 
  • Strong organizational and communication skills 
  • Proactive attitude 
  • Enjoy interacting with and helping people
